16 Weeks!

Today, I had my 16 week appointment, and everything was good! Thankfully, I haven't gotten sick this week (knock on wood), but my sinuses have been kind of driving me crazy. I still have been feeling kinda lazy, and I think the baby likes to sit on my bladder at night, but other than that, I'm good...

Also, it seems that I'm getting a small baby bump -- woot woot! And luckily, all of my clothes still fit : ) Even though I haven't gained any weight; but I asked my doctor, and he said it was okay, so I won't worry about it. At the next appointment, we'll be finding out the sex of the baby!!

15 weeks...

Today marks 15 weeks...woo hoo!

Sunday, I was super sick. I threw up in the car on the way to church. Then, we went to eat after church (for Father's Day), and I couldn't even eat...and threw up again when I got home! I don't know what the heck was going on, but I feel better now (besides these annoying sinus headaches).

Anyhoo, I'm not showing yet (in my opinion anyway, but you can be the judge :). I just feel that I look like I'm getting chubby lol. Although I'm ready for the bump, I also figure that the bigger I get, the more I will wish I was still this size...and I haven't had to buy any new clothes yet, so yay for that!

Amnio or No?

So, I'm finally at the 14 week mark (woohoo! ...although I don't have a bump yet), and it seems that I'm getting back to my normal self. However, I do kind of have a dilemma...

At my next doctor's appointment in two weeks, I have the option of getting an amniocentesis. I know that generally, they are done on women who are 35+ or those who have a history of genetic disorders or chromosomal abnormalities in their families...since I'm 27 and don't have any history or anything, I'm not sure I should get it. Especially since there is a small risk of miscarriage.

So help me out moms!

Did you get an amniocentesis? Why or why not? Do you recommend it? Help a sista out!! : )

13 Weeks...

Yesterday, I went for my 13 week appointment! At first, I was a little nervous because the doctor couldn't

13 weeks...

find the heartbeat with the Doppler. But he finally found it when he used the ultrasound machine, which was awesome because I got to see the little bambino -- s/he's looking like a real baby now!

Thankfully, I'm starting to feel better and more like myself (because I haven't felt like me in like two months), and I should be feeling that second trimester energy soon *fingers crossed* And I'm really looking forward to feeling the kicks in a few weeks : )

First ultrasound (at 8 weeks 6 days)...we saw and heard the heartbeat, too! : ) Now it really feels real...

9 Weeks 2 Days

Again, I woke up feeling terrible. I had a really bad headache all day yesterday, so I went to bed early...at like 9:00. I called myself taking a nap, but I slept (off and on) 'til 9:30 AM. My head still hurts but not as badly, but I feel super nauseous. I have a prescription, but I don't want to take it because I think that's what caused the headache...

I'm just so ready for this part of pregnancy to be over because it SSUUUUCCCKKKS!! I don't have the energy to do anything, and I'm so tired of that. I'm trying to stay positive and remember at the end, I'll be holding a beautiful baby in my arms...that's about the only thing keeping me relatively positive at this point (and the fact that I get whatever food I want) : )
